Our Saviour Lutheran Church of Marion Oaks, FL
The little church with a big heart
When a church turns in on itself, it dies. When a church reaches out beyond itself, it thrives. We can choose to thrive by sharing the good news of Christ's love for us, and by working in our community. Here are some of the ways we work in the community.

Project Hope
For the past 18 years, members of Our Saviour have helped supply the daily needs of those less fortunate in our community through their contributions to Project Hope. Working with Interfaith Emergency Services, Our Savior Members have contributed thousands of food and clothing items to those in need. Special offerings from Our Savior also support other Interfaith projects, including the very important prescription drug program. Helping is as easy as purchasing 2-1 grocery specials and sharing the extra products or bringing your used aluminum cans to be recycled so the proceeds can be donated. We collect goods every week.
Beyond our doors
Each year Our Saviour makes a financial commitiment to the work of the wider church through our benevolence to the Florida-Bahamas Synod. We also support the work of Florida Outdoor Ministries.
Recycle Hope
Don't forget to bring your clean, bagged aluminum cans to church. Each Sunday Emile Richard collects the cans brought in by our congregations and takes them to the Presbyterian Church, which sells them and gives the proceeds to Interfaith Emergency Services. The latest cache of cans generated $70 !
